The future of sailing has just gained new momentum. Groupe Beneteau and the Fountaine Pajot Group have announced the creation of E-LEKTRA MARINE, an unprecedented strategic alliance that promises to accelerate the electrification of sailing and redefine standards for energy efficiency on board.

⚡ The goal is ambitious:

To electrify between 10% and 15% of the global sailing market by 2030.

By bringing together seven leading brands—including the exclusive brands of the SIROCO GROUP, Lagoon, Jeanneau, and Excess—this initiative scales up technological innovation and makes low-emission solutions more accessible and efficient.

In a context where more than 99% of sailboats still rely on diesel engines, this joint venture has a clear objective: to create a global standard for electric propulsion and smart energy management on board.

Unlike the automotive sector, electrification in sailing goes far beyond the engine. A sailboat needs to generate, store, and manage its own energy while at sea.

E-LEKTRA MARINE focuses precisely on this challenge: integrating and optimizing, in real time, all onboard energy sources and consumption—from solar panels and batteries to comfort and propulsion systems.

E-LEKTRA MARINE’s ambition is not limited to its founding brands. The project was designed as an open platform, capable of integrating other industry players and achieving sufficient critical mass to reduce costs and accelerate adoption.
