Artificial Intelligence for Safety
SEA.AI is an advanced maritime surveillance system that significantly enhances onboard safety by providing the crew with early and reliable alerts about objects on the water’s surface. By combining state-of-the-art camera technology with artificial intelligence, the system can detect and identify obstacles that often go unnoticed by conventional systems, such as radar or AIS.
Among the objects identified are vessels without AIS, buoys, drifting containers, floating objects, inflatables, kayaks, and even people in the water. Through continuous analysis of images captured by thermal and low-light cameras, SEA.AI creates a real-time digital perception of everything surrounding the vessel—from the boat to the horizon—in all directions.
